Hemingworth WashAway Hot Water Soluble Film, 12 in X 11 yds

Ideal for freestanding projects such as lacework and appliqués, WashAway lends support and stability while sewing, then is easily rinsed away, leaving only beautiful embroidery behind. WashAway is a fibrous stabilizer, both strong and soft. It can be embroidered with or without fabric. Use WashAway when both sides of the embroidery will be seen. Use as a backing for delicate, sheer fabrics such as organza, tulle, silk or nylon. Rinse away with warm or hot water when embroidery is complete. Roll size: 12 inches by 11 yards.

*WashAway is also available in rolls of 12 inches by 27 yards.

What is the difference between the Hot & Cold Hemingworth Washaway Stabilizers.

Hi Karl,

Thanks for asking. The cold washaway is basically a clear plastic-like film similar to what is often called "solvy."
The hot washaway stabilizer is a fibrous one, more like a very light cutaway than like a clear plastic. This one also completely dissolves except that it does leave fibers inside your embroidery so that it is perfect for freestanding lace, providing stability to the embroidery.
