Not to my knowledge, Carolyn. I believe it exclusively uses memory cards.

Thank You so much for getting back to me. I appreciate it. I'm looking to buy an extra embroidery machine, just as an extra and I can't pay a lot for it. This one was on sale for $100. Do you know of any pacesetters that take a usb cord?

From some research I just did, I'm not seeing any Pacesetters that are, unless I'm overlooking something, Carolyn. I did notice that the Brother PE-500 and SE-400 have USB cables are reasonably priced, so those are a couple of machines you might want to take a look at.

Hi Heather, thank you so much for gettng back to me. I really appreciate it. I currently own an SE400 and a Singer Futura XL400. I just need an extra embroidery machine to leave at my work site. I currently carry my SE400 back and forth and its getting tiring. I just happen to have seen this on Ebay for $100 and wondered if it was a good purchase.
