Hello all. I am new and haven't received my machine yet. However, what is the best and most affordable embroidery thread and bobbin thread to get for starters.

Hi, Cindie. We carry Madeira thread and Hemingworth thread. Madeira is a good, basic starter thread; Hemingworth is our own high quality brand that we highly recommended. I'd say you can't miss with either of these brands!

hello my name is tonia and I am new here and I want to know if I get a larger hoop will the embroidery be larger or will it remains a 4x4 design

Hi, Tonia. My understanding is that a larger hoop will not expand your sewing area. You might want to check with Brother to see if it is possible to upgrade your machine, as I believe that is the only way your sewing area might be expanded.

Hi Tonia, I ordered the larger hoop for my 425 and no this machine will not do larger designs. The larger hoop will only allow you to move it so you can do like a running design with out unhooping it. It's hard for me to explain .Brother explaines it better . Good luck, Margie. P.S.I'm new to embroidery on a machine too. It's addictive now I want a larger machine .

No, I'm sorry, Sara, but the Snap Hoop and Snap Hoop Monster are not compatible with the SE-425.
