I have a Babylock Esante. Is there a Snap Hoop that will fit my machine? If so, what is the largest size?

Please Login to comment on this post.

Jeanne E.

Hi Pauline,

Yes, there's a few Snap Hoops compatible to the Babylock Esante. The LM3 4" x 4", LM1 5" x 7" and LM8 6" x 10" are compatible to all of the Babylock Esante, except for the Esante ESe2. If you have a ESe2 then the only compatible hoop is the LM6 5" x 7". Please let us know if you have any other questions. Have a good day!

I have a brother pacesetter ULT2003 - still works great for sewing and embroidery - would magnetic hoops work for this older machine

Please Login to comment on this post.

Jeanne E.

Hi Kristi,

Our compatibility chart from DIME doesn't have the Brother Pacesetter on it. Which means there isn't a compatible Snap Hoop. I'd recommend that you contact DIME, the manufacturer, to see if they have any plans to make a Snap Hoop for your machine. You can reach them at 888-739-0555 or [email protected]. Have a good day!

Michael C.

I have a Bernina 770QE with plus software upgrade to the software. I want to know the actual area that can be embroidered with the Snap-Hoop Monster / RM5 210 x 400 mm for Bernina. How many inches next to the hoop will it allow the stitching. I can't find this info anywhere on the website. Thanks for your help.

Please Login to comment on this post.

Kirsten S.

Hi Michael,

The stitchable area of the hoop is 210mm x 400 mm. The hoops are named by the stitchable area; their actual physical size is larger because of the size of the hoop and its margins.

My Snap hoop for the Brother PE-700 has margins similar to that of my regular hoop.

As Jeanne, said, if you do need to know the size of the margin on each side you may have the best success by contacting Dime at the number she provided

Jeanne E.

Hi Michael,

All the information we have is what DIME has given us. DIME is the manufacturer of the Snap Hoops. I'd recommend that you contact DIME since they'd know more on the inches next to the hoop. They can be reached at 888-739-0555 or [email protected].

Ann M.

Hello, I purchased this hoop (8 by 12) for my Innovis VE2200 and remember seeing a grid that I could download to get centered and add my rulers. Can you tell me where that is located please? I don't seem to be able to find it.

Also, if I purchased my product that says DIME.... but off of Amazon, can I register on this website?

Happy New Year!!

Please Login to comment on this post.

Kirsten S.

Hi Ann, I know the grid you are talking about. Here it is:

https://www.embroidery.com/how-to-add-rulers

I'm not sure what kind of registering you would need to do for the hoops, but I know that when you buy software through us at Embroidery.com, it registers with Dime as well; so they also have record of your purchase and can support you in any of your needs, too.

Jeanne E.

Hi Ann,

If you purchased this DIME hoop from Amazon then I'd recommend contacting DIME about the grid to download. They should have that since the hoops are their products, and we just sell the hoops from them. They can be reached at 888-739-0555 or [email protected]. It is fine if you have an account with us as well, since we sell DIME products too. Have a good day!

Debra H.

I am interested in purchasing the snap hoop monster LM5 to use on my Brother machine to do end to end quilting. I noticed in several of the reviews that they don't hold well with thick fabrics. I would be using them with two layers of fabric and batting/basically buying them for thick sandwiches of fabric as my current hoops are hard to load. Will these hoops work for me?

Please Login to comment on this post.

Kirsten S.

Hi Debra,

What Jeanne said about the hoops is for sure true. With a traditional hoop, you can just pick the hooped item up and even press your fingers against the back of the hooped area and not lose the hooping. The Monster hoop is much easier to un-hoop, so you wouldn't want to do that; instead it comes with a shield that you would use when picking up and carrying the hoop to your machine. THEN when you're quilting edge to edge and you need to move the hoop, it is SO easy to do, and that's what makes it marvelous for this application. You don't need to pick up your whole quilt and go back to your hooping area, you can just do it right at the machine.
Here's a video on how that works, since I think it really helps to see it in action.

Jeanne E.

Hi Debra,

DIME is the manufacturer of the Snap Hoops, and they do recommend them for quilting. It's true that they don't hold in the traditional way, but that's what makes them really great for end to end quilting. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Have a great day!

hello, I have an innovis V3 : is this hoop compatible

Please Login to comment on this post.

Jeanne E.

Hi Claire,

Thanks for reaching out to embroidery.com! I don't see the Innovis V3 on our compatibility chart from DIME. Which usually means there isn't a hoop that is compatible. I would recommend that you contact DIME directly to see if they are planning to make a compatible hoop. They can be reached at 888-739-0555 or [email protected]. Have a great day!

Will these magnetic hoops fit my Baby Lock Journey? If so, what is the largest size available? I am a quilter and this sounds wonderful for moving fabric without all of the tedious rehooping. Thanks.

Thanks for the question! There are a couple of Snap Hoops which are compatible to the Baby Lock Journey. The largest is the LM5 7" x 12", which you can find at this link. https://www.embroidery.com/product?productID=26727... Have a great day!

Will the 200 X 360 Monster Hoop work on the Icon 2? I purchased this hoop for my Icon but then I upgraded to the newer model and the Icon 2 is not on the list for machines it will work on. Thank you

Please Login to comment on this post.

Jeanne E.

Hi Terry,

I looked into it and remembered why the Icon 2 isn't on the list of compatible machines for the HM5 200 x 360. We still haven't gotten any information on the machine from Pfaff. So we haven't been able to put the machine information onto our website yet. Once we get some more information we'll do that, and then add it to the list of compatible machines. But the DIME compatibility chart does say that the Icon 2 is compatible with the HM5 200 x 360. So you are fine to use your Icon 2 with that hoop. Have a great day!

Hi Terry,

Yes, the Icon 2 is compatible with the HM5 200 x 360. It looks like the list hasn't been updated. We'll update that as soon as we can. Have a great day!

What is the stitching arer of the snap hoop for bernina 570qee. 150mmx400mm. I want to get the biggest hoop possible. But if it won't stitch out all over quilting 6×10 designs it won't be worth it.

Please Login to comment on this post.

Jeanne E.

Hi Nola,

Thanks for checking! The sewing area is the 150 mm x 400 mm or in inches 5.91" x 15.75". We call the Snap Hoops by the size of their sewing area. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Have a great day!
