A bobbin's dimensions (height and diameter) is called its style or type. Each sewing machine is designed to work with a specific bobbin style. So, the first step in bobbin-buying is to determine your machine's style. Style A bobbins are sometimes called universal bobbins. They are used with home and small commercial machines for sewing and embroidery. Style A bobbins are 0.465 inches (1.181 cm) high and 0.815 inches (2.070 cm) in diameter.

*Style A bobbins are thicker than Style L bobbins. Check your machine's manual or your dealer to find out which style bobbin your machine requires.

Compatible with all sewing machines that use Style A or Type 15 bobbin in addition to the following embroidery machines: Babylock® 2, Altair, Aventura II, BL137A, BL137A2, BLAE, BLDY, BLDY2, BLG, BLG2, BLG3, BLJY, BLL, BLL2, BLMAR, BLMAV, BLMBM, BLMFO, BLMFO2, BLMVR, BLPY, BLR2, BLR3, BLSA3, BLSO, BLSOG, BLSOG2, BLTY, Flare, INT, Meridian, Pathfinder, Solaris, Vesta, Bernina® 170, 430, 440QEE, 630, 700E, 740E, 770 QE, 790 Plus, 790 Plus SE, AURORA450, B590, B70, B790, DECO-330, Brother® LB6800 PRW, 4000, 4500D, 4750D, DZ820E, F480, HE-120, HE1, HE240, INNOVIS-1000, INNOVIS-1500D, INNOVIS-2500D, INNOVIS-4000D, INNOVIS-5000, INNOVIS-6750D, INNOVIS-750D, INNOVIS-900D, INNOVIS-950D, LB5000S, LB6770 PRW, LB6810, LB7000, N3500D, NQ1600E, NQ3700D, NS1150E, NS1250E , NS1750D, NS2750D, NV6000D, NV6700D, NV870SE, PE-900, PE100, PE400D, PE500, PE535, PE545, PE700, PE700II, PE750D, PE770, PE780, PE800, SB7050E, SB7500, SB7900E, SE-700, SE1800, SE1900, SE350, SE400, SE425, SE630, SE725, VE2200, VM5100, VM5200, VM6200D, VQ3000, XE1, XJ1, XP1, XP2, XP3, XV8500D, Elna® 9500, Expressive-920, Xquisit-9020, Husqvarna Viking® JADE35, Janome® 11000SE, 400E, 550E, M17, MB-4S, MC 9900, MC-10000, MC-10001, MC-11000, MC-14000, MC-15000, MC-200E, MC-300E, MC-350E, MC-5000, MC-5700, MC-8000, MC-9000, MC-9500, MC-9700, MC12000, MC230E, MC500E, S9, Kenmore® 19000, 19001, 19005, 19010, ELITE, Pfaff® 640, CREATIVE1.5, Singer® CE100, CE200, S10, SE300, SE340, XL1000, XL150, XL5000, XL6000

I see that this will fit a Brother 4500 D , mine is an NQ 4500 D is there a difference

Hi, Paulette. I am not certain. Does your machine have the name "Duetta" anywhere? The Brother machine you asked about is a Brother Duetta 4500D. But I am not certain if it's the same as your NQ machine.

Diane H.

According to the information on your website, Janome 11000 nor any other Janome machine is listed as compatible with Style L. The list of compatibility on THIS PAGE is for Style A/Type 15 and Janome machines are listed. It is not my intent to be obnoxious, but I feel you gave incorrect information to Rita R. as written above and someone else might be mislead..

Heather B.

Hi, Diane. Oh, no, I'm so sorry about that mistake. I did not realize that I had given Rita R. the wrong recommendation until you just pointed that out. I have checked Rita's account and she did end up ordering the correct Style A bobbins, regardless of my typo, which is a relief.

I have deleted my conversation with Rita, so as not to mislead other customers. Thank you for pointing out this error.

Loralye W.

OK I am a bit confused does this mean Style A bobbin does fit Janome 15000 & 9900? Or do I need style L?

Heather B.

Style A is recommend for both the Janome 15000 and 9900, Loralye. The mention of style L was in error. We are sorry for any confusion.
