I have really moved up in the world of machine embroidery, quilting and sewing, but I still have this machine with a 4x4 sewing area:

Husqvarna Viking® HuskyStar EM10

I hardly used it before I moved up to a machine with a bigger sewing area.

I am interested in knowing if you would be able to supply a new or used hoop for the Husqvarna Viking® HuskyStar EM10.

Hi Maryanne,

Thanks for checking! Our company sells the Snap Hoops, but we're not the manufacturer. I would recommend that you contact DIME to see if they're planning to make a Snap Hoop for the Husqvarna Viking® HuskyStar EM10. DIME is the manufacturer, and they can be reached at 888-739-0555 or [email protected]. Have a great day!

I have just bought a Huskystar EM10 at a fundraiser for a special cause. It was in its original box, and was told it was brand New but had just been sitting around in someone's house so they donated it to the fundraiser. I took everything out and got everything ready to go. I downloaded the owner's manual and realized I didn't have the disc required to work the machine! I can't use the machine without it at all! I have looked everywhere to find this disc. Husqvarna said I had to contact a dealer to get one. No one has one! Please help! I really want to work this machine!

Yeah, that's tough, Jakub. My best recommendation would be to check sites like Ebay for a used copy of the software.

I have the same machine and I have and still do love it. But, It suddenly has become ill and as we speak its in the shop hopefully being repaired. I would be willing to buy your dead machine for parts as I cant find parts for this machine anyplace. I would like to keep it going if possible as I cannot afford to upgrade. Not that I wouldnt love to have a bigger one. Just not affordable right now. Thankyou...Jill

If anyone can help please email me at : [email protected]

Are you still looking for a replacement Huskystar EM10 embroidery machine? I had one given to me with the 3D Embroider Intro disk, accessories, instruction book, and user's manual. The foot pedal and cord are missing. I haven't tried using it. It won't work for me because I have a newer Apple computer and the software will not work with Apple. Email me it you want it. To anyone looking to help Victoria, what she is looking for is called 3D Embroidery Intro, which used to come with the Huskystar EM10 machine.

Here's an ebay listing I found which might be helpful. It looks like it is for the full 3D Embroidery software, which is probably more than you need. I think the 3d Intro disk is like a "lite" version of what is being sold here:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Husqvarna-Viking-USB-Embr...
You might try asking Husqvarna Viking if the full 3D software can be used in place of the 3D Embroidery Intro... I would think so, and it may be easier to find than the intro disk at this point.
Also, apparently the original 3D is not necessarily easy to install on new Windows operating systems. If you get to that point, this link may be helpful:

Hello:

I am just restarting my sewing. All my machines are Husqvarna Viking including this Husqvarna Viking EM10. While I know the sewing area and format, what is the maximum number of stitches of the machine and software? I cannot seem to find this info in any paperwork and manuals that I have. Would you please let me know. I do not know if it mattered for this embroidery machine it is made in 2006.

I have called Husqvarna Viking to find out if either the sewing machine and embroidery machine have had any updates available and I was told that there were none.

Also, my embroidery machine only has one hoop, the 4 x 4, and I was told that there are no other sizes available for this machine. I am looking at using a True Sizer type program so I am curious to know if you have an opinion as to whether or not you have any opinion on this and if you do know how to convert a design if it is not available for my 4 x 4 hoop.

My sewing machine is Husqvarna Viking C10 and my serger is Husqvarna Viking HuskyLock 936. My Sewing and embroidery machines are registered. They have never been used because I moved on to other things when I retired. I have had them serviced and oiled and ready to go. The serger is also ready to go, has been serviced (had one previous owner).

Hi Maryanne,

I'm happy for you, getting back into sewing. It's a lovely thing.

Those are good questions. I have never personally used a Husqvarna machine. I have had years of experience converting designs to different file formats for a variety of machines, and assisting customers who were unable to use designs for various reasons. I don't recall ever running into having too many stitches per design for this machine. We ran into it a lot with Janome, but not Husqvarna. So while I also couldn't find an upper limit on stitchcount for your machine, I can say it seems unlikely that you will run up against it. If you do, and the design is from us, please contact us for a refund.

True Sizer is a pretty good program and works best on EMB files, which are not broadly available. It does recognize and size a wide variety of embroidery formats. I suggest using the free program for a while to see how its results work for your needs. Generally size changes of more than 20% should be approached with caution. So if a design is a little larger than your hoop, you can likely size it down for use. But a design made for a much larger sewing area, unless it was a really simple design... I would not recommend sizing.

I do suggest looking at Embrilliance Essentials software. It has the ability to split designs into multiple hoopings, so that you can stitch larger designs by hooping two or more pieces, one at a time. Essentials will also do size changes, on many formats and I've always been please with the results.

I hope this helps a bit and encourages your efforts.

-Kirsten
