Hi Sue,
I realize your post is quite old. On the off chance you still own your 10001, I may be able to help solve your dilemma. I’ve owned the same machine for 15yrs and use it nearly daily. To complicate further, I use Mac computers. Using Embrilliance, I download designs onto my Mac and save as a .Jef. I make any alterations needed and save to a photo card. I insert the photo card into my 10001 and ready to stitch. Yes, I often receive a warning message on my Janome stitch screen however, it’s a PC. I click cancel, sometimes repeatedly. Eventually, the machine accepts the design and stitches perfectly.
Hope this helps. Perhaps I’m too frugal, My Janome works like a champ and I refuse to replace as long as she’s working well, even if it takes a few adaptations.
Happy Stitching,
Sall
Sue C.
I bought a 10000 initially and upgraded to 10001. The Customizer 10000 software works fine with the upgraded sewing machine on an old computer but I haven't figured out how to transfer designs with the software on a newer computer with Windows 8.
Is there some way to work around this? Thank you.
