I inherited a Pfaff 7560, purchased in 2001, along with the embroidery unit. I also got a lot of the memory cards for the machine and discs with designs. I'm not sure what I need, computer wise, to read the discs. Is the info transferred from the disc to the embroidery unit. I'm somewhat tech illiterate, so I would appreciate a simple explanation. Also, do you have any suggestions for what I can do with the memory cards/discs I'm not interested in other than ebay?

Hi, Gail. Regarding the disks, I'd just recommend trying them on your computer to see if you can see designs on them. If you have embroidery software, you can even double click to open them. If you want to transfer them to memory card, we can recommend the Vikant Ultimate Box II or II Plus. If you need a blank card, we would recommend the Ultimate Card Version III. We are not in the business of selling used memory cards, but here are some possible options:

I have aded a Pfaff 2170 machine to my "stable" of machines. I have Designer 1 which uses VIP format and the 2170 made sense. The soft ware on my computer is Sew Pro through S and S computer. I lack instructions on how to transfer my designs to the cards for the 2170. I wonder if the Ultimate box would work. My question is will the box and Sew Pro play together nicely. thanks for any assist. Jane

Hi Jane,
Here is a link to the instructions for the Pfaff 2170: http://www.pfaff.com/SiteMedia/PFAFF/Products/Mach...
It states that you need software called 3D File Assistant in order to transfer designs from the computer. It also mentions that you can use a card writer box (they call it a Smart Card Station) or a USB cable directly from the computer to the machine.

I don't have experience with Sew Pro software. If it is the one I think it is though, it should let you save your designs in your format, then use 3D File Assistant to transfer the design to your 2170. I hope this helps you to find what you are looking for.
Best wishes.

I'm sorry, Jane, but the Ultimate Box is not recommended (i.e., does not work with) the Pfaff 2170. You might try checking out some of these options:
