StitchArtist 3 Arrives!

sa3upgrade.JPG

StitchArtist Level 3 has just been released! There are three new features that this adds for us about which I am (so far) most excited:

  • union
  • Magic Wand for lines
  • automatic outlining from stitches

All three of these tools make digitizing easier. Five training videos have been released, so you can view them to see what I mean.

Now, while I’m busy updating the learning tools myself, I’m curious about you. I’m interested in know which new features and tools you are curious about. Which tool most interests you? What questions do you have? Please share your responses below.

By the way, it’s not too late to join Embroidery.com’s StitchArtist learning series, and share learning with the community.

I’m wanting to learn how to digitize logos and recipes and things like this. What do I need and what’s best for me?

Hi Anita,

Welcome to digitizing! Let's get you started on StitchArtist. If you're not already taking it, I suggest you get the 28 day learning program for StitchArtist here at Embroidery.com. It's an email course that steps you through the manual with suggested videos to help you. It's free.

StitchArtist Level 1 includes all the tools you need for basic digitizing.

Since you want to do logos, I suggest considering StitchArtist Level 2. It includes tools for satin columns and curved fills. You could do those things manually in Level 1, but Level 2 really helps you make it faster and with more ease.

Level 1 will also let you save out cut files, like the Silhouette, SVG, if you want to. Level 2 allows you to create a design from a cut file, and Level 3 has even more productivity tools like style sheets and more cut file functionality.

From what you have told me, I suggest you begin with StitchArtist Level 2. If you decide to add Level 3, you can do that and only pay the difference between Level 2 and 3, so that you pay about the same as if you had bought all 3 levels to begin with.

I hope this helps!
