We used a lighter weight (60 weight) thread on the eyes for finer detail.
The very next day, Beauty and her father set out for the Beast's castle. It was a long and sad ride for both of them, and all too soon they arrived. The Beast welcomed them, "Did you come here willingly, Beauty?" he asked. When Beauty replied that yes, she had, the Beast dismissed the merchant and showed Beauty to her room.
The Beast was pleased to see Beauty's reaction to the elegance of her room and invited her to have dinner with him that evening. Beauty hesitantly agreed, and wondered what she would wear. But, looking up, she saw a large armoire across her room, with "Beauty's Clothing" written across the top in exquisite writing. She opened the armoire and found it full of beautiful gowns.
At dinnertime, Beauty went to the dining room and found the Beast waiting for her. Beauty sat at the table across from the Beast, but his presence still made her nervous, for he truly was a horrible looking creature. However, by the time dinner was through, Beauty had forgotten her nervousness and felt quite comfortable with the Beast. He had not tried to hurt her, but in fact had shown her more kindness than she could have asked for.
At the end of the evening, the Beast walked Beauty to her room and asked if she had enjoyed herself. "Yes," she replied, and thanked him for his kindness. But before she could say goodnight, the Beast asked, "Beauty, will you marry me?" Startled, Beauty declined his offer. This saddened the Beast, but he hoped that in time Beauty would grow to love him and forget all about his ugliness.
The days turned into weeks, then months, and Beauty enjoyed being with the Beast. They had become the best of friends. But every night after dining together, the Beast would walk Beauty to her room, then ask her, "Beauty, will you marry me?" And every night, Beauty declined his offer, although she had become quite fond of the Beast.
As time passed, Beauty's thoughts turned to her father. Oh, how she missed him, and longed to see him again! Realizing this, the Beast decided to give Beauty a very unique gift.
