Yes I believe using a pattern that you already have is fine as long as your over all gift it in the pricing area. Thanks for asking :D

Sorry if this is a silly question, but, for the Christmas gift exchange. Does it have to be a new pattern? I have kits/patterns that are in the price limit. I would need to buy floss, material and finishing supplies if I did a pattern that I have in my stash. I've never done one before.
