Hi Mary,

Thanks for reaching out to embroidery.com! I checked the compatibility chart, and it looks like the 5 x 7 hoop should be compatible with your Babylock Venture. So I'm guessing it might be a faulty arm, if it won't fit. I don't see an order for you of the 5 x 7 hoop with us, so did you by chance purchase it from DIME directly? If not, I'd recommend contacting the place you purchased it from originally. Or you could try contacting DIME anyway, at 888-739-0555. They should be able to figure out how to fix it, if there is a way to fix it. (since they're the manufacturer of the hoops) Best of luck, and have a great day!

I purchased the

GM1 5" x 7" (for use with arms) (MNM00A1) Last June. Due to medical issues, I was not able to use it until Christmas. I was embroidering on towels for my grandchildren. The bottom hoop constantly came off. I've tried on sweatshirt as well with the same result. I'm terrible disappointed. In ended up hooping the towels. Did I get a lemon? It wasn't cheap, so help!!

Sounds like what you're stitching might be too thick for using the magnet on the bottom, or the towels are hanging down and pulling the hoop off through their force. You can use it on the top for towels; I'd suggest using the magnet on the bottom only for lighter, less draping things like tee shirts.

Latricia C.

Is this frame really compatible with the MB7? Can I use the whole space for embroidery? I ordered the Monster hoop for quick snap owners, but even though it’s the large one, I can only use @ 4x4 embroidery area. It also didn’t come with the ruler tape, so lining up is a bit of a challenge too. I haven’t been able to use it to quilt because I can’t figure out the correct available embroidery space.

Kirsten S.

Hi Latricia, if the design you are using is 4x4, you will need to adjust your start point before stitching the design a second time, to make use of the sewing area.

I am wishing to order this for quilting small quilts. I have a BabyLock Valiant 10 needle. After reading some of the comments, it is making me hesitant to press the "buy" key. All suggestions welcome!

Please, can you said to me what hoop I have to choose? I own a "Brother Persona". In France, it's called "Brother VR". Is it the same machine? I think it's the Multi Needle Monster/GM7 8"x 8" (UPC:810065022363), but I'm not sure.

Thank you in advance.

Have a good day.

Thanks for the question. It looks like you should be able to use any hoop that is compatible with the Brother Persona. There are three hoops to choose from. Here's a link to a page that lists the compatible hoops:

Yes, I have ordered a 6x10 Monster snap hoop. Upon further checking I have ordered the wrong hoop. It does not have the arms to use on my Brother Entrepreneur Pro 1000e. It is expected to be shipped tomorrow 6/17/20. Is there any way I can cancel the order on this hoop and order the correct one. It is Multi Needle Monster/GM3 8X12, # MNM100A5. UPC 810065020666. I believe there is a price difference of about 10.00. You may bill me the difference or you have my card # you can charge the difference to it. I really am sorry for the mix up on my part, I would really appreciate your help. THANKS.

Hi, Beatrice. Thanks for the inquiry. We're sorry but your order was already shipped yesterday, 6/16/2020. It looks like you actually ordered a hoop that won't work for the Entrepreneur Pro 1000e. I see that your order is for the Snap-Hoop Monster / LM8 6" x 10" (SH00A8M). I will check to see if your shipment can be canceled or not and will email you once we have more information. Please let me know if you have questions in the meantime. We are sorry for any inconvenience.

Heather, I received the 6x10 hoop yesterday (6/18/20). I have called customer service, the girl I talked to said someone would send me an e-mail as to what I need to do to return the hoop I received. She did say I would have to return it for a refund, and then I will be purchasing the hoop that I need. I have it ready to ship, it is just as I received it. Look forward to hearing from you. As of now I haven't heard anything. THANKS.

I have 14" throw pillows to embroider with my Brother PR600...They have a top zipper that is 10.5" wide in the middle of the seamed edge. This will work will it not? Will the magnets affect the machine at all? Do you have something that works with toddler socks? I, also, have a one needle Brother NQ1600-E.

Thank you,

Leslie

Hi, Leslie. Thanks for the questions. I contacted DIME and they have the following info for you:

Regarding the magnets affecting your machine, they write: "The magnets do not effect the machine . We sell these hoops all the time -- they are made for machine use."

Regarding 14" throw pillows, they write: "Yes they do work for tubular items (like pillow cases and bags, ect) . See image [below] for an example of how a similar item would be embroidered using a Multi Needle Monster... [You] would want a hoop that is not larger than the opening that the project would need to fit over."

Regarding toddler socks, she writes: "The Quick Snap 2.0 has been known to work well with children’s wear but a toddlers sock seems a bit small to be able to properly fit within any of our current sizes." So, that would not be recommended at this time.

I purchased several of these and used them to do monogram initials on heavy canvas bags for end of year teachers gifts for my grandchildren. They were a lifesaver, never slipped, and was able to complete 10 of these in one afternoon. I highly recommend

Hi,

I am thinking about purchasing this hoop, I have 35 beach towels to embroidery would you recommend it? The above comments are not too promising...

Do not really have the time to return etc., if it is not a good item. Hoping it would streamline my production.

Thank you ~ Joyce

Hi Joyce. I checked with the manufacturer (Designs in Machine Embroidery) on this for you, and they have the following information for you:

"Thank you for your interest in Multi-Needle Monster. It’s a great solution for speed hooping. There are two ways to use the hoop. When embroidering tubular items (like a onesie, t-shirt, tote bag, etc), place the magnetic frame under the metal frame. This position allows the tubular item to slide over the needle throat. Extremely heavy tubular items are best hooped in a standard hoop.

"When stitching towels, place the magnetic frame on top of the metal frame. You’ll find hooping very fast and secure in this method. It’s how we embroider all of our towels! Two points of attachment to the machine create a safe, sturdy hold on all fabrics."

I hope this helps.

I also think the Monster hoop is not really strong enough for thick bath towels.

I also think the hoops should come with the center and number markings already on the frame.

When I centered the tape on the sides of the hoop, it didn't correspond with the center of hoop when put on

the machine. I did measure.

I'm having trouble with this frame. The magnets are not strong enough to hold anything but very light weight fabric. It will not hold a towel at all. I like that it snaps into the arms of my machine but I have been able to use it very little. It's not nearly as strong as the quick snap.
